It’s Volunteers’ Week 2nd-8th June

Time to celebrate and thank the nations’ millions of volunteers!

Volunteers’ Week returns this year after reaching its 40th anniversary last year. From 2nd to 8th of June, Action for Carers will join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK.

Running every year since 1984, the Week provides a crucial opportunity to thank volunteers and recognise the value of their time, passion and skills. The campaign highlights the diversity and unity of volunteer work across the UK.

Our volunteers

We’d like to say a big thank you to our amazing volunteers this Volunteers’ Week, who help us in so many ways to support Surrey’s unpaid family and friend carers.

At Action for Carers we have around 30 volunteers regularly supporting us at at our drop-in Carer Hubs, at our events, helping with deliveries, and a host of other roles.

We’d thank to celebrate, and say thank you to them – and all our previous volunteers too – many of whom are carers or former carers. They do a huge amount and we could not manage without them. THANK YOU!
